Freezing the Mic by Francisco Meirino released today

Obviously
nothing was instant,
even when
you started
to stick
all the parts together,
you did not find
a way to listen to
freezing the mic
but on the same day
you tried so hard
to listen to nothing
that even the sound
of your inner drone
was absent but yet active
Was this a vain attempt?
You know nothing.
You know that <<nothing>> can't be found.

Francisco Meirino is active in sound and live performance where he explores the tension between programmable material and the potential for its failure by working mainly with the computer, magnetic fields detectors, reel-to-reel tape recorders, piezo transducers and various acoustic devices. This release for Very Quiet Records simply documents a hydrophone freezing in water.
